Economic Development
The purpose of economic development is to revitalize communities, develop and rehabilitate affordable housing, promote sustainability, attract investments, build wealth, encourage entrepreneurship, and create jobs. Since 1998 Ferguson Road Initiative has facilitated over $400M in economic development in the form of affordable, middle, and high-end housing, education, and retail. When community development is effective, there is less crime, less disparity between citizens, better jobs available, enhanced social cohesion and improves overall quality of life.
